Tetsujin 28 è una serie robotica prodotta in 51 episodi e trasmessa in Giappone dalla Nippon Television, dal 3 ottobre 1980 al 25 Settembre 1981. Questa prende spunto da una vecchia serie televisiva realizzata in bianco e nero nel 1963.
Ma veniamo al nostro Jumbo.
Tetsujin 28 is a robotic series produced in 51 episodes and aired in Japan from the Nippon Television, from 25 October 3, 1980 to September 1981. This was inspired by an old television series made in black and white in 1963.



Il suo design molto semplice, in stile retrò, non ne pregiudica la sua bellezza, che viene esaltata dalle spalle possenti e dalla cresta argentata posizionata nella parte superiore della testa.
Il Tetsujin misura un altezza di 59 centimetri, leggermente più basso rispetto allo standard Popy, che normalmente si aggira sui 60 centimetri.

A differenza dei suoi predecessori non è munito di rotelle, quindi, per renderlo più alto i designer della Popy hanno pensato bene di ingrandire i piedi, portandoli ad una misura di quasi 8 centimetri di altezza, 3 in più rispetto alle misure classiche.

La testa è il suo punto di forza. Il volto è realizzato in gomma morbida e può essere sganciato tramite due viti che si trovano ad altezza orecchie, una particolarità presente solamente nel Tetsujin 28.
La cresta a forma di “S” si aggancia alla testa tramite un perno e viene bloccata grazie ad una vite situata nella nuca.
The head is its strong point. The face is made of soft rubber and can be released by means of two screws that are located at height ears, a peculiarity present only in Tetsujin 28.
The crest-shaped "S" hooks to the head via a PIN and is locked with a screw in the neck.



Il Tetsujin non ha pugni sparanti, ma nella confezione era incluso uno spara missili ZZ che poteva essere inserito in entrambe le braccia.
I reggi missili delle gambe sono molto più corti dei normali Machinder, infatti possono alloggiare solamente due coppie di missili.
The Tetsujin did not pummel shooting, but the package included one shoots ZZ missiles which could be inserted in both arms.
The missiles are legs support much shorter than normal Machinder, in fact can stay only two pairs of missiles.



Nella schiena sono posizionati due razzi in plastica, misurano 13,5 cm di altezza e restano agganciati grazie ad un supporto orizzontale.
Bellissimo il timbro di riconoscimento posizionato nel retro, dove oltre al nome del robot e l’azienda fabbricante Popy, si può notare il marchio NTV, emittente televisiva Giapponese che tra il 1980 e 1981 trasmise l’intera serie.
