Kamen Rider V3 prende ispirazione dalla serie televisiva ideata da Shotaro Hishinomori e trasmessa dal canale NET TV Japan dall’ Aprile 1971 al Febbraio 1973, per un totale di 98 episodi.
Lo studente Takeshi Hongo, combatte contro l’organizzazione terroristica "Shocker", che rapisce e trasforma le sue vittime in Cyborg dall'aspetto di piante o animali.
Takeshi grazie all'aiuto del Professor Midorikawa, inizierà la sua battaglia contro la Shocher, assumendo l'aspetto di un eroe cavalletta.

Il Kamen Rider V3 è stato il secondo jumbo ad essere prodotto dalla Popy, prima di lui solo il Mazinger Z.

Nella sua testa in vinile sono inserite due antenne telescopiche, uniche nella categoria Machinder.

Altro particolare che lo rende unico insieme al fratello Kamen Rider X, sono le sciarpe, di colore bianco e legate ai supporti delle spalle per il V3, nera e legata al collo per la versione X.

La cintura è realizzata in plastica bianca, con adesivi e scritte su placca in lamierino, diciamo che è l'accessorio più bello del jumbo, ma trovarla in perfetto stato di conservazione non è facile, purtroppo negli anni il lamierino tende ad arrugginirsi ed ha bisogno di un piccolo restyling.

Sempre nella cintura è alloggiata una torcia con la scritta V3, anche questo particolare aumenta la quotazione del jumbo, infatti molti pezzi loose sono mancanti di torcia e trovarne una originale diventa un impresa ardua.
