Realizzato dall’ azienda italiana Morel, questo esemplare di Mazinga Z è senza dubbio uno tra i più discussi della categoria Jumbo Machinder.
Designed by the Italian company Morel, this specimen of Mazinger Z is undoubtedly one of the most discussed of the Jumbo Machinder category.



Molti lo odiano a causa del suo design poco accattivante, altri lo amano per le sue linee buffe, di certo le proporzioni non lo hanno aiutato, basta vedere la grandezza della testa che misura ben 16 cm su un totale di 56 cm.

A mio parere non è affatto male, esteticamente non sarà un granché, ma come adattabilità al gioco non ha niente da invidiare ai suoi cugini Popy o Mattel.
Diciamo che questo Mazinga Z è stato concepito più come gioco che come giocattolo fine a se stesso.
Infatti nella sua confezione erano inclusi accessori usati per dar vita a simpatiche sfide, come:

TIRO ALL’ ANELLO: i quattro cerchi colorati venivano lanciati verso la spada rossa impugnata dal Mazinga, vinceva chi ne infilava il maggior numero.

Nella testa è applicato un adesivo che ritrae Koji Kabuto all’ interno del Pilder, ovviamente il disegno è molto elementare, tanto per rimanere in linea con il design del toys.

Gli adesivi argentati delle braccia hanno delle forme stravaganti, mentre quelli delle gambe sembrano realizzati in materiale vellutato.

La V rossa è inserita nel petto grazie a due perni, gli ideatori per risparmiare i costi dello stampo hanno pensato bene di realizzarne un unico pezzo e dividerlo visivamente con una striscia adesiva nera.
Cosa strana è l’adesivo della vita, in molti esemplari è di colore argento mentre nel mio è di colore oro, ne ho visto solamente un altro “mint”con lo stesso adesivo, forse in fase di assemblaggio avevano finito la carta adesiva? Chissà…

Nei primi anni 2000 questo Mazinger Z in box non superava il valore di 150 euro, attualmente un pezzo del genere mint è valutato tra i 300 – 400 euro, un bel balzo in avanti per uno dei jumbo più criticati della storia.
